We currently have an opportunity for a Data Analyst.

Purpose:

The Data Analyst is responsible for the development of all internal reporting as well as operational and financial analytics.  This newly created position will support all levels of management in the measurement of KPI's.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute a strategy, migrating away from manual data gathering to a consistent, repeatable reporting platform
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and have the ability to understand tables
  • Gather, validate and analyze data using statistical techniques that will generate useful business reports
  • Report KPI's and other points of measurement with accuracy, completeness and timeliness
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and "clean" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate data integrity problems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Abilities and skills required:

  • Ability to query databases to analyze data sets and translate data into meaningful business analytics
  • Effective communication, presentation and technical writing skills
  • Ability to establish successful relationships and work in a cross-functional capacity
  • Demonstrates accountability and integrity
  • Highly motivated self-starter, driven for results, effective at prioritizing and managing complex tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions, and to understand and discuss complex technical concepts
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, and data mining
  • SEQUEL experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Requires reasonable manual dexterity.

Qualifications:

BA / BS degree in computer science, information systems, finance or related field

Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
